This is the poster I display at all the markets events I do. It tells my story in the most concise way possible. People can choose to read it or not, but I really appreciate it when people take the time to read it 😊 (and I make sure I tell them). The pictures are also very helpful when I’m trying to explain in short words what a mola is. I’m posting it here because someone at one of the markets wanted to read the poster later, so he took a picture. I figured it would be a lot easier to read if I post it somewhere on the internet, like my very abandoned blog 😅 and add the website to my smart bio links. That’s all 😁. Thank you for reading.
My Papermolas Story in a Poster
Published by papermolas
I was born in Panama and moved to the United States in 1999. I lived in Sacramento, CA but moved to Houston, TX in 2018. I have a degree in architecture and a design background, love to create paper things, love warm weather and animals. My designs are inspired by molas, a textile art form from the Guna Indians from the San Blas Island in Panama and some regions in Colombia. I enjoy the challenge of designing molas but I also want to let the world know about this art form and spread Panamanian culture around the world through my art. My mission is to make molas a known art through my interpretation of the art itself with designs that can be enjoyed every day. View all posts by papermolas
